85 Degree Bakery Cafe — named for the optimal coffee brewing temperature in degrees Celsius — signed a lease with Urban Edge Properties for a 3,507 square-foot space at Hanover Commons in East Hanover.
The chain launched in 2004 and offers a wide array of fresh pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods. It has since expanded to Taiwan and operates more than 1,000 locations around the globe.
“There is much anticipation for this concept and their expansion to the East Coast,” said Justin Lustig, Vice President, Leasing for Urban Edge Properties.
“Hanover Commons provides a terrific environment to introduce their much-loved pastries and beverages to this property with high-traffic anchors and adjacent complementary uses.”
The bakery is slated to open in 2024, though a specific date has yet to be announced.
